Don’t Call Me Mama

Screening at Cineteca Madrid of Norwegian filmmaker Nina Knag’s debut feature, part of the International Competition. The film follows a woman from a small Norwegian village who begins a secret affair with a young asylum seeker, with devastating consequences for both, exploring the grey areas between naivety and exploitation, power and powerlessness. It premiered at Karlovy Vary in 2025, where Pia Tjelta won Best Actress. The screening is followed by a Q&A with the director. Paid admission.
