"Take-off: a theory of exocapitalism"
Presentation of Alonso Trillo and Poliks' book on exocapitalism, published by Becoming Press in 2025 and recently translated into Spanish by Caja Negra. The authors argue that capital tends to detach itself from material resources and labour through software, the attention economy and cross-financing, and that inefficiency has become a value in itself. They will use artificial intelligence as an example, showing how data centres have turned into financial artefacts. Part of POV, a space for reflection on digital culture.
