American literatures book club (2026-2027): "Desierto sonoro" (Valeria Luiselli)
The final session of a book club devoted to American literatures by writers from communities considered minorities because of their ethnocultural background, such as Native American, Chicano, African American or Asian American authors. On 25 May at 19:00 the group will discuss "Desierto sonoro" by Valeria Luiselli, in which a family crosses the United States while the parents research the Apache genocide and the migration crisis at the border, seen through the children's eyes. Led by Amaia Ibarraran. Free, held in Spanish in the Amaritu room of the Casa de Cultura Ignacio Aldecoa, Vitoria-Gasteiz.
