Classic reading club (2026-2027): "La religiosa" (Denis Diderot)
The classic reading club at Casa de Cultura Ignacio Aldecoa in Vitoria-Gasteiz devotes its session on Saturday 16 January 2027, at 11:00 in the Cervera room, to Denis Diderot's La religiosa. Told in the first person, the novel follows Suzanne Simonin, forced to become a nun because her family was impoverished, and satirises convent life of its time. The club explores works from different eras, countries and literary movements, with an expert guiding the discussion. The session is in Spanish and free of charge.
