Book club: "Barazkijalea" (Han Kang)
The Basque-language book club of the Pasaia libraries devotes this session to "Barazkijalea" by Han Kang, the story of Yeongye, an ordinary wife who one night throws out all the meat in the fridge to become a vegetarian, a choice that leads to others that unsettle her family. The session takes place on 19 October 2026 at 19:45 at the Biblioteca de Pasaia (Antxo). It is open to everyone and free, moderated by Pasaia writer Xabier Etxaniz Rojo. Reading the book beforehand is recommended in order to join the discussion.
