A song recital devoted to Julián Aguirre (Buenos Aires, 1868-1924), an Argentine composer of Basque descent whose father came from Ibarra. Trained at the Royal Conservatory in Madrid, he was among the first Argentine composers to draw on native music, focusing on concert song and piano works. A respected teacher, he founded the Argentine School of Music. Soprano Mercedes Gancedo and pianist Rubén Fdez. Aguirre revisit his life and work at Teatro Arriaga in Bilbao, which produces the concert, on 9 June 2027 at 19:30. Tickets: €18.
