Lied Arriagan Cycle: Begoña Gómez & Jesús López Blanco: "La isla de la calma"
Mezzo-soprano Begoña Gómez and pianist Jesús López Blanco give an art song recital at Teatro Arriaga in Bilbao, devoted to composers connected with Mallorca through birth, identity, aesthetic affinity or time spent on the island. The programme takes its name from the book in which painter Santiago Rusiñol described Mallorca. It features songs for voice and piano by Chopin, Capllonch, Albéniz, Granados, Samper, Mas Porcel, Thomas, Falla, García Abril and Parera Fons, pairing well-known names with less frequently heard composers. Produced by Teatro Arriaga. 9 March 2027 at 19:30; tickets 18 €.
