Lecture series: literary cafés
As part of its lecture series, the Centro Cultural Emilia Pardo Bazán in Madrid's Salamanca district hosts a talk by Cía. Momi Orgalla on literary gatherings known as tertulias: where they came from, how they worked and the mark they left on literature. The talk takes a tour of iconic Madrid cafés such as the Gijón, Comercial, Levante, Fornos and Pombo. Suitable for all audiences, it lasts about 60 minutes and admission is free.
