Centro Danza Matadero hosts the world premiere of El salto de Butes, a new large-scale work by Juan Berlanga, winner of the 2026 Max Award for Best Male Dance Performer and the centre's resident artist for the 2026 season. Six performers draw on Spanish dance and flamenco to revisit the myth of Butes, the Argonaut who leapt into the sea answering the sirens' song, exploring desire, limits and dissent. Niño de Elche handles composition and musical direction, with dramaturgy by Alberto Conejero. Performances at 8 pm in Madrid; tickets from 18 euros.
