Centenary of the Training Ship 'Juan Sebastián de Elcano' - Biblioteca José Hierro
Architect Rafael Criado gives a talk on the Juan Sebastián de Elcano, the Spanish Navy's training ship, ahead of its centenary, which will be commemorated throughout 2027. He traces the vessel's history through anecdotes and curiosities from its early years of service, the challenges of its first voyages and its first round-the-world journey, and explores why it is popularly known as 'Spain's best ambassador to the world'.
