Centenary of the Training Ship 'Juan Sebastián de Elcano' - Biblioteca Gloria Fuertes

Architect Rafael Criado gives a talk on the Juan Sebastián de Elcano, the Spanish Navy's training ship, ahead of its centenary, which will be marked throughout 2027. He covers the vessel's early years of service, its first voyages and its first round-the-world trip, sharing anecdotes and curiosities, and looks at why it is popularly called 'Spain's best ambassador to the world'. The talk takes place on 29 October 2026 at 18:30 at the Biblioteca Pública Municipal Gloria Fuertes in Barajas, Madrid. Free admission with prior registration.
