Cavalleria rusticana and Pagliacci — Operas by P. Mascagni and R. Leoncavallo
Teatre La Faràndula in Sabadell stages two operas of raw, extreme passion. In Mascagni's Cavalleria rusticana, jealousy and honour lead to a fatal outcome in rural Sicily on Easter Day; in Leoncavallo's Pagliacci, the actor Canio uncovers his wife Nedda's betrayal and the performance becomes a real tragedy. Musical direction by Jhoanna Sierralta and stage direction by Miquel Gorriz, with the Cor Amics de l'Òpera de Sabadell and the Orquestra Simfònica del Vallès. Performances on Friday 27 November at 8 pm, Sunday 29 November at 6 pm and Tuesday 1 December at 8 pm. Tickets from €10 to €66.
