Cavalleria rusticana and Pagliacci — By Pietro Mascagni and Ruggero Leoncavallo
Teatre Auditori de Granollers hosts an opera double bill on 8 December 2026 at 6 pm: Mascagni’s Cavalleria rusticana, a tale of jealousy and honour in a Sicilian village, and Leoncavallo’s Pagliacci, in which reality breaks into a theatre troupe’s performance. Both are surtitled in Catalan and performed with the Orquestra Simfònica del Vallès and the Cor Amics de l’Òpera de Sabadell, conducted by Jhoanna Sierralta and staged by Miquel Gorriz. Running time is about 3 hours including an interval. At 5 pm, Marc Heilbron gives a free pre-show talk for ticket holders, with limited seating. Tickets from €27, with season passes available.
