Brahms, A German Requiem — Jordi Savall. El So Original
As part of his El So Original series, following Beethoven's symphonies and the world of Mendelssohn, Jordi Savall returns to L'Auditori in Barcelona to conduct Johannes Brahms's A German Requiem, Op. 45, a symphonic-choral work whose spirituality reaches beyond religion. The programme also includes Schicksalslied, Op. 54 (Song of Destiny), a short piece for choir and orchestra based on a poem by Hölderlin. Performers include soprano Lina Johnson, baritone Matthias Winckhler, La Capella Nacional de Catalunya and Le Concert des Nations, with Lina Tur Bonet as concertmaster. The concert takes place on 21 October 2026 at 7 pm, lasts about 120 minutes, and tickets cost 25 to 55 €.
