Bilbao Orkestra Sinfonikoa (BOS): "Shostakovich's Fifth"
As part of its 2026/2027 season, the Bilbao Orkestra Sinfonikoa, conducted by François López Ferrer, performs at the Palacio Euskalduna in Bilbao at 19:30. Violinist Francesca Dego plays Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco's Violin Concerto No. 2 "I Profeti", a work drawing on the composer's Jewish roots and premiered by Jascha Heifetz with Toscanini in 1933. The programme closes with Shostakovich's Symphony No. 5, an exultant showcase of orchestral virtuosity. Tickets range from €15 to €34.
