"Beethoven Film Concert"
A screening with live orchestra of the 1927 silent film about the life of Ludwig van Beethoven, revived for the 200th anniversary of his death. Directed by Hans Otto Löwenstein and starring Fritz Kortner, it links key moments in the composer's life to works such as the Eroica, the Ninth Symphony and Fidelio. The Bilbao Orkestra Sinfonikoa, conducted by Nacho de Paz, performs the score Malte Giesen composed in 2020, inspired by Beethoven's music. The film was restored by Filmarchiv Austria. Teatro Arriaga, Bilbao, 18 June 2027 at 19:30. Tickets: €15 / €28.
