Vitoria-Gasteiz Municipal Music Band 2026-2027: "Roots"
The Vitoria-Gasteiz Municipal Music Band, conducted by Iker Olazabal, presents the concert "Roots" on 3 March 2027, from 19:30 to 21:00, at the Palacio de Congresos Europa. The programme opens with Pompeii by José Alberto Pina, evoking the Roman city, followed by Bert Appermont's Trencadís, inspired by Mediterranean modernist mosaic, and Shelley Hanson's Volver a la montaña, where the mountain stands for a return to essentials. Antonio Ruda Peco's Palindromía flamenca offers a contemporary take on flamenco, and the evening ends with Aram Khachaturian's colourful, folk-flavoured Viuda Valenciana.
