Bad Bilbao 2026: "Bi baso bat ur"
As part of the BAD BILBAO 2026 contemporary theatre and dance festival, the company Metrokoadrokoa presents a piece about joy after abuse. In the middle of a dance floor, four people stand completely still holding glasses of water while the DJ gets everyone around them dancing. The work highlights the social nature of joy and treats humour as a way to overcome trauma and regain one's power, handled with depth and respect. Performed by Intza Alkain, Javier Barandiaran and Iraia Elías; written by Miren Azcarate and Oier Guillan, directed by Edurne Azcarate. On 23 October 2026 at 19:30 at Harrobia Eskena, Bilbao.
