"Apaiz kartzela"
Presentation of the documentary "Apaiz kartzela", followed by a talk with Xabier Amuriza, at the Centro Cultural Santa Clara in Portugalete on 26 October 2026 at 18:30. The film follows four priests once held in the concordat prison of Zamora (1968-1976), set up by Franco for clergy, as they return to the site. Through them it recovers the little-known story of the 53 religious transferred there for denouncing Francoist repression in their sermons. Directed by Ritxi Lizartza, David Pallarès and Oier Aranzabal, it runs 85 minutes.
