Amat Santacana — Bach Suites 1 and 6 for solo cello
Cellist Amat Santacana, founder of the Qvixote Quartet, gives an intimate recital at Espai Plana de l'Om in Manresa featuring Johann Sebastian Bach's Suites No. 1 and 6 for solo cello, cornerstones of the instrument's repertoire. For the sixth suite he will play a five-string cello, an instrument that has almost vanished today, bringing back the work's original sound. The programme also includes a ricercare by Domenico Gabrielli, recognised as one of the first pieces written specifically for solo cello. The concert takes place on 11 October 2026 at 12:00 and lasts about one hour. Tickets range from 6 to 15 €.
