A lecture in the 34th Autumn Lecture Series on the foundations of ancient Greek astronomy. Cristian Tolsa Domènech of the University of Barcelona will examine the intellectual and cultural traditions that shaped it, from Mesopotamian influence and the practical role of calendars to the cosmologies of the Presocratic thinkers. The talk will be introduced by David Hernández de la Fuente, board member of the Madrid Delegation of the SEEC. It takes place on 19 November 2026 at 18:30 at the Museo de San Isidro.
