"Alén" (Premiere in Euskadi)
Alén, a contemporary dance piece from Galicia, has its Basque Country premiere at Teatro Barakaldo on 16 January 2027 at 20:00. Created and directed by Esther Latorre and Hugo Pereira, with choreography by Latorre, it explores the threshold moment when something ends but the new has not yet taken shape, a suspended space where identity dissolves and re-emerges transformed. Performed by Esther Latorre, Paula Urquijo, Xián Martínez and Marc Fernández, it is a highly physical, ritual-like work, with sound design by José Pablo Polo, lighting by Xacobo Castro and costumes by Adolfo Domínguez. Tickets cost 12 € and 15 €.
