Central event of the Gaudí Year 2026 at Mallorca Cathedral

To mark the centenary of the death of Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí, the Cathedral-Basilica of Santa Maria de Mallorca in Palma hosts a mass followed by a social gathering highlighting the exceptional nature of Gaudí's work on the cathedral. Scheduled for 8 December 2026, the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, the event recalls that on this same date in 1904 the first phase of the cathedral's renovation was completed, coinciding then with the 50th anniversary of the proclamation of the Dogma of the Immaculate Conception. It is part of the Gaudí Year commemoration. Paid event.
