ABAO TXIKI: "Ali Babá y los 40 ladrones"
Teatro Arriaga in Bilbao hosts this family opera, recommended for ages 5 and up, adapting the tale from One Thousand and One Nights for children's choir, singers and orchestra. Ali Baba and his daughter Zulema stumble upon the hideout where thieves keep their treasure, and Kassim's greed unleashes the fury of Osmán, the gang's leader. With music by Iñigo Casalí, staging by Amico Teatro and production by Ópera de Cámara de Navarra, it stems from a collaboration between ABAO Bilbao Opera and Teatro Arriaga. Sung in Spanish with Basque and Spanish surtitles, it lasts 60 minutes. Performances at 12:00 and 18:00; tickets from 14 to 28 €.
