AB100: The National at Tabakalera: Presentation and screening of "A Lot of Sorrow"
On 18 October 2026, Tabakalera in San Sebastián screens in full A Lot of Sorrow, Ragnar Kjartansson's six-hour film-performance in which The National plays the ballad "Sorrow" over and over. From 11:00 to 11:30, Matt Berninger and Kjartansson will introduce the work in English, without translation, followed by the screening from 11:30 to 17:30. The event is part of AB100, a music and visual arts gathering marking Aaron and Bryce Dessner's 50th birthday across San Sebastián and Biarritz. Admission is free until capacity is reached, and visitors may come and go at any time.
