75th Anniversary of the Annexation of Fuencarral to Madrid. Exhibitions
To mark the 75th anniversary of Fuencarral's annexation to Madrid, two local venues host free exhibitions from 17 to 30 October. At Centro Sociocultural Valverde, open Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 14:00 and 16:30 to 20:30, visitors can explore the key stages of transport in Fuencarral and watch a looping video of photos shared by residents. Centro de Mayores Islas Jarvi displays the winning drawings from a competition among pupils of CEIP Vasco Núñez de Balboa and Colegio Sagrado Corazón, along with a mural on the neighbourhood's evolution made by students.
