50 years of memocracy — Cia Toni Albà
A satirical comedy written, directed and performed by Toni Albà, in Catalan. The King, a character familiar from his five previous plays, rehearses the opening speech for a ceremony marking Franco's death and "50 years of democracy", trying to follow instructions fed through an earpiece from the technical booth. The humour comes from the clash between his duties, his incompetence and his complete lack of desire to carry them out, leading to an unexpected twist. Performance on 17 October 2026 at 9 pm at Teatre L'Amistat in Mollerussa. Paid admission. Part of Programa.cat.
