"Vivre Sa Vie. Georges Dambier And Fashion"
From 22 May to 13 December 2026, the Museo Cristobal Balenciaga in Getaria hosts an exhibition on French photographer Georges Dambier (1925–2011) and Parisian haute couture in the 1950s. Dambier took models out of the studio and onto the street, freeing them from rigid poses while keeping meticulous technique, and made women the centre of his work, drawing on cinema. Curated by fashion historian Anabela Becho in close collaboration with Guillaume Dambier, the show presents 77 photographs arranged around seven themes. It is organised by the Cristóbal Balenciaga Foundation.
