"The Givenchiaga Family"
From 28 March 2026 to 22 February 2027, the Museo Cristóbal Balenciaga in Getaria presents an exhibition bringing together 35 works by Cristóbal Balenciaga and Hubert de Givenchy dating from 1956 to 1972. Its title comes from the phrase British journalist Katharine Whitehorn used to describe the connections she saw between the two couturiers' collections. The show explores their stylistic affinity, business partnership and friendship, and pays tribute to Givenchy both as a designer and as the keeper of his mentor's legacy. It closes on the centenary of his birth. Organised by the Cristóbal Balenciaga Foundation and curated by Igor Uria.
