"Soinu ak zeinu ak soinu", exhibition by Maialen Lujanbio
From 23 April to 30 December 2026, the Museo Zumalakarregi in Ormaiztegi hosts an exhibition by Maialen Lujanbio Zugasti, created as part of the "Archive Practices" programme, which opens the museum's archive to artists from different disciplines so that each can explore nineteenth-century history from their own perspective. The show traces how communication changed over that century: from speech to writing, then optical telegraphy, electricity and the binary system, up to the threshold of today's communication systems. Images, text fragments and voice work together to tell the story.
