"Whistles of Urdaibai. The organ builder Lope Alberdi"
From 21 July 2026 to 10 January 2027, the Euskal Herria Museum in Gernika-Lumo hosts an exhibition on Lope Alberdi, an organ builder born in Gautegiz Arteaga in 1868 whose instruments reached the Iberian Peninsula, the Americas and the Philippines. Based on new research and designed by Josep Maria Berenger, it brings together documents, photographs, plans, tools, original instruments and three audiovisual pieces. Panels are in Basque and Spanish, with English and French versions via QR code. A programme of concerts, guided tours, talks and round tables accompanies the show, some requiring advance booking.
