Collective trencadís artwork — Visit + activity

As part of the Gaudí Year marking the centenary of Antoni Gaudí's death, Torre Bellesguard in Barcelona invites visitors of all ages to help create a collective trencadís piece: a large-scale replica of the cross crowning the pinnacle, built to its real dimensions from a point-cloud survey by Galdric Santana, Bellesguard's conservation architect. Participants get hands-on experience with one of Gaudí's best-known techniques, and the finished work may represent Bellesguard at exhibitions worldwide. The activity is included with the visit ticket and runs during opening hours: Tuesday to Sunday, 10 am to 3 pm (last entry 2 pm); closed on Mondays except public holidays, 1 and 6 January, and 25 and 26 December.
