Railway Museum - collection (permanent exhibition)

Permanent exhibition at the Basque Railway Museum, housed in the former Azpeitia station. The collection includes steam, diesel and electric locomotives, railcars and various kinds of wagons. Visitors can see the Urola Railway's mechanical workshop, preserved as it was in 1925, where an electric motor drives 16 machines through pulleys and belts, as well as the old electrical transformer station with its original mercury-vapour rectifiers. The main building displays railway uniforms from the late 19th century to the AVE and a collection of railway clocks. The steam train runs from Easter to 1 November. Admission: 3 or 6 €.
