Museum Of Iron And Steel And Mining Of Castilla Y León (Sabero, León). Temporary Exhibitions.

Throughout October, the Museum of Iron and Steel and Mining of Castilla y León in Sabero hosts several temporary exhibitions. In "Del carbón al grafiti", eight graffiti artists paint their view of mining work and culture on the walls of the exhibition building. "Minerales en nuestras vidas", drawn from José Vicente Casado's collection, shows how minerals are part of everyday objects. From the 23rd to the 25th, mycologist José María Escapa presents mushrooms and fungi found around the museum as part of its mycology days. The guest piece of the month is the wooden coat of arms of the mining company Hulleras de Sabero y anexas, carved by Francisco Ramos. Salvador González Solís's mining stamp collection is on show at the Museo Alto Bierzo in Bembibre.
