Mapamundistas 2026: "Ad hoc"
As part of Mapamundistas 2026, artist Alba de la Portilla presents "Ad hoc", a sculptural installation created specifically for the exhibition room of the Pabellón de Mixtos in Pamplona's Ciudadela. The piece brings together architectural elements and objects from her studio, which was once her grandfather's workshop, and explores what becomes of forms built for a particular purpose once that purpose is gone, such as a shelf meant to hold an ashtray that is no longer there. On view from 11 September to 15 November 2026.
