'La fiesta, verdiales de Málaga'

From 15 October 2026 to 14 March 2027, MUCAC La Coracha in Málaga hosts a temporary exhibition on the Verdiales, the folk celebration native to the province of Málaga. Featuring works lent by local peñas and artists, it traces the tradition's origins, its institutional recognition from the 1960s with the backing of the Juan Breva peña and then-mayor Francisco García Grana, its flourishing over the last forty years and its continuing relevance. Visitors will see Málaga painting by figures such as Chicano, Brinkmann, Ruano and Peinado, recent films, photography, and work by young artists including Luz Prado and Timsam Harding. Open to the general public, Tuesday to Sunday, 10:00 to 20:00, in Building 2, Espacio Cuatro. Free admission.
