"Jumana Manna. Foragers"

Artium Museoa in Vitoria-Gasteiz screens Foragers (2022) by Palestinian artist Jumana Manna in its Sala Z, as part of a programme on the moving image in exhibition spaces. Blending fiction, documentary and archive footage, the film, shot in the Golan Heights, Galilee and Jerusalem, looks with ironic humour at how Israeli nature protection laws have affected the traditional foraging of wild plants such as akkoub and za'atar, raising the question of who decides what goes extinct and what lives on. From 17 September to 15 November 2026; Tuesday to Friday 11:00–14:00 and 17:00–20:00, weekends and holidays 11:00–20:00.
