"Jasper Johns: Night Driver"

The Guggenheim Museum Bilbao presents a retrospective of Jasper Johns spanning seven decades of his career, with around one hundred works from public and private collections worldwide. It opens with his 1950s paintings of flags, targets, letters, numbers and maps, moves through the more introspective works of the 1960s, the crosshatch abstractions and Four Seasons series of the 1970s and 1980s, and closes with works from the 1990s and 2000s, including the Catenary series. Curated by Enrique Juncosa, the exhibition runs from 29 May to 12 October 2026, Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00 to 20:00, and daily in July and August.
