Illustration and editorial processes: Raisa Álava
Artium Museoa in Vitoria-Gasteiz opens a series on illustration and editorial processes in its A01 space with Álava-born artist Raisa Álava (Zuaza, 1990). The display brings together posters, fanzines, sketchbooks and comics from the past five years, featuring dense images, forced perspectives and distorted figures that blend collective memory and chance. Álava has worked for The New Yorker, The New York Times and Bloomberg Businessweek, designed posters for the 2023 Tour de France and the Azkena Rock Festival, and published her comic Sumidero with AIA Editorial. Open 23 April to 18 October 2026: Tuesday to Friday 11:00–14:00 and 17:00–20:00; weekends and holidays 11:00–20:00.
