"Fantasy and Reason"
The Museo de Bellas Artes de Álava in Vitoria-Gasteiz brings together, for the first time in Álava, Francisco de Goya's four major print series: Caprichos, Desastres de la guerra, Tauromaquia and Disparates. The works joined the collection in 2022 from the Fundación Juan Celaya Letamendi and have been documented and restored. Three series are shown in first editions and Tauromaquia in a second edition, revealing the development of etching, aquatint and drypoint. Open from 18 May 2026 to 28 February 2027, Tuesday to Saturday 10:00-14:00 and 16:00-18:30, Sundays and holidays 11:00-14:00.
