ARTIUM exhibition: "Jochen Lempert. Local Ecology"
Artium Museoa in Vitoria-Gasteiz presents Local Ecology, the first exhibition in the Basque Country by German photographer Jochen Lempert (Moers, 1958). Trained in biology and linked to the experimental film collective Schmelzdahin, Lempert questions the conventions of photographic representation through slow observation and careful darkroom work. For this project he photographed nature in and around Vitoria-Gasteiz, interwoven with the land and the city, and the show brings these images together with earlier series. From 20 November 2026 to 28 March 2027; Tuesday to Friday 11:00–14:00 and 17:00–20:00, weekends and public holidays 11:00–20:00.
