Euskal Herria Museoa (exhibition and visits)

Housed in the baroque Alegría palace in Gernika-Lumo, rebuilt in 1733 and restored by the Diputación Foral de Bizkaia after it acquired the site in 1982, the Museo Euskal Herria helps visitors understand the history, politics and culture of the Basque Country. Its floors cover the physical environment that shapes ways of life, the historical evolution leading to today's political structure, and cultural expressions such as sport, folklore, festivities, music, dance, beliefs and myths. The attic hosts temporary exhibitions. Guided tours and activities are also available. Admission: €2 or €3.50.
