Pamplona Encounters 2026: "Is the museum a battlefield?", Hito Steyerl
As part of the Pamplona Encounters 2026 programme, the Polvorín on Arma Plaza in Hondarribia presents "Is the museum a battlefield?", a 2013 work by Hito Steyerl. This two-channel colour video installation with sound, running just under 40 minutes, explores the hidden and deeply intertwined financial and political ties between contemporary art institutions and the global arms industry. Organised in collaboration with the Museo Reina Sofía, the exhibition runs from 2 October to 15 November 2026, and admission is free.
