"De Irulegi A Pompelo. Los Orígenes De Una Ciudad"

An exhibition organised by Pamplona-Iruña City Council to mark 2,100 years since the Roman founding of Pompelo, curated by the Aranzadi Science Society with researchers from several universities. It explores the 1st century BC, when the Vascones joined the Roman Republic, and the destruction of the Irulegi settlement during the Sertorian War. On display are weapons, everyday objects, coins, altars and stelae, never-before-shown finds from Irulegi and loans from other museums, plus a full-scale reconstruction of the house where the Hand of Irulegi was found. Open from 30 January in the main hall of Civivox Pompelo, Monday to Saturday 11:30–13:30 and 18:00–20:30; closed Sundays and holidays.
