English reading club 'Reading club'
The Biblioteca Pública Municipal José Hierro (San Blas-Canillejas) hosts an English reading club for adult learners at B2 level or above, and for anyone else interested. In each weekly one-hour participatory session, a short story by a major twentieth-century Anglo-Saxon author, such as Ernest Hemingway, James Joyce or William Faulkner, is read, explained and discussed in English. The selected texts are made available beforehand in the virtual library so participants can prepare. Sessions take place online by video conference on Tuesdays from 7 to 8 pm, and prior registration is required.
