"Bailad como si nadie os viera" (immersive installation by Oliver Laxe based on the creative and sensory universe of "Sirat")

From 17 July to 12 October 2026, Tabakalera in San Sebastián hosts this installation by filmmaker Oliver Laxe, originally created for the Museo Reina Sofía and shown here in a new spatial layout. The work grows out of the creative process behind his film Sirat and takes its subtitle from a verse by the Persian mystic Rumi. A pyramid of rave-style speakers emits a sustained vibration while three projections show desert landscapes, temples filmed in Iran and dancing figures, with sound work by Kangding Ray. A physical, sensory experience for anyone drawn to film and contemporary art. Free admission.
