TERRITORY ARCHIVE. 2016-2026 (fragments). Javier Ayarza.

From 17 July to 18 October 2026, the Museo de Zamora hosts this exhibition by photographer Javier Ayarza, conceived as an archaeology of the present. It shows fragments of an open photographic archive, begun in 2016 and still growing, that documents the natural districts of Tierra de Campos and Cerrato and now holds around 25,000 images from the provinces of Palencia, Zamora, Valladolid, León and Burgos. Ayarza treats the territory as a space shaped by historical, economic and social tensions, where ruin, labour, abandonment and resistance to change meet, focusing on the marginal and the overlooked. Of interest to anyone drawn to photography and rural landscapes.
